Vicki is a lifelong yoga and fitness enthusiast committed to helping people find calm, peace, and joy in their lives. She is passionate about creating engaging yoga classes that are adaptable to all experience and fitness levels that inspire students to keep coming back to their mats. Through devotion to her own fitness, yoga, and meditation practice, she continues to hone and develop her skills so that her teaching is ever evolving.
Fun Facts about Vicki
I obtained my 200 hour Yoga Teaching Certification in 2020. I work at the Effingham Public Library as a programming coordinator and many know me as Miss Vicki, the Story Time lady. I received a B.A. in Political Science in 1999 and a Teaching Certificate in 2011 from Eastern Illinois University.
Favorite Pose & why:
Child’s Pose because it is so grounding and calming.
Favorite way to de-stress:
Getting out in nature, hiking, canoeing, and laying on the beach.
Favorite essential oils & use:
Lavender for calming and baths. Lemongrass for cleaning and laundry.
When I’m not on my mat or teaching:
In my free time I enjoy reading, running and lifting. I am seldom without a book and take advantage of every opportunity to read for enjoyment and to expand my knowledge base. I also love competing in 5Ks, mud runs, and novice lifting competitions with my tribe of friends.

Yoga helps me keep calm and that allows me to be a more present, positive person.
