Patty is the mother of four grown children and lives in Effingham, IL where she works as a part-time Registered Dietitian at PCW. In 2012, she was drawn to yoga to increase flexibility + strength and fell in love with the practice. She decided to deepen her practice by enrolling in the Hatha Yoga & Fitness Yoga Teacher Training in 2020.
Patty substitute teaches at Lotus Room Yoga where she teaches a Gentle Fusion Flow class.
Fun Facts about Patty
Patty completed her 200 hours and has her 200 RYT certification with Yoga Alliance. She has practiced many different types of yoga but is drawn to vinyasa flow, hot yoga and loves a good restorative class.
Favorite Pose & Why:
Ardha Chandrasana or Half Moon Pose. It feels so opening and balanced.
Favorite Way to De-Stress:
I love taking a long walk and listening to a podcast.
Favorite Essential Oils & Use:
Doterra Serenity Blend with lavender + sweet marjoram.
Chamomile because it's so calming. Citrus Blend because it is energizing and uplifting.
When I'm not on my mat teaching:
In my free time I like to go for walks outside, cook/bake, and read.
What yoga has done for me:
I am a firm believer that no matter what age, anyone can benefit greatly by practicing mindfulness, increasing core strength, balance + flexibility. I hope to spread my love for the practice by inspiring people to incorporate yoga into their lives.
