This is so difficult to answer because depending on my mood/energy it can be a lot of different poses! However, a pose I consistently practice and rely upon for relaxation is reclined bound angle, or supta baddha konasana in Sanskrit. It helps me find a sense of peace and stillness so I can relax, let go, and heal.
Playing my gong has proven to be an effective tool for helping me calm down when I am over-stimulated. I also enjoy healing through water and nature…hot baths, nature walks, meditations by water, anything that helps me connect with the Earth has a way of bringing me back to homeostasis.
Lemon is a constant companion in the kitchen for cleaning countertops and soaking fruit. For my body/mind I use Frankincense, Lavender, and Peppermint the most. Franky helps me open up to my spiritual Self and takes me into a higher state of mind. Lavender is calming and opens my heart and ability to communicate from the heart. Peppermint clears my mind and helps me focus, as well as opening up my sinuses!
I am probably with my kids. We homeschool, we explore, we create, we play, we cuddle, and we read oh so many books! You can also find me feeding/watching the birds, taking care of our 2 dogs and 2 cats, or tending to my plants. I am also learning to sew, crochet, and needle felt.
Yoga has connected me with God. I was not raised in a religious household but my whole life I have been interested in Spirit. Yoga is truly my path. It keeps me physically healthy, mentally clear, and spiritually connected. I am so grateful for all of my teachers and the wisdom passed to us and through us from our predecessors.
